Joanne Berkey from Elkhart, IN: How are your
restaurants doing? We're planning on a trip to the one in Chicago.
Michael: I'm excited about my
involvement with restaurants. I am involved with several restaurants: one sixty
blue, Chicago, IL; Michael Jordan's The Steakhouse Grand Central Station, NYC,
NY; Michael Jordan's 23, Chapel Hill, NC; and coming soon -- two new restaurants
to open in the fall of 2001 at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Hope you enjoy
your visit!
David
from Bethesda, MD: I consider the Wizards my home team and like them very
much. What are your plans for the team's future, especially in a few years when
some of the salary cap troubles go away?
Michael: I can't tell you what the
future holds exactly, but I plan to continue to clear cap room so that we can go
after some good players in the free agent market. Trading Juwan is a first step
in freeing up some cap room, and will position us to be very agressive after
next season. Other than that, I will continue to work hard to make the Wizards a
championship team. Thanks for being a fan, and continue to come to the games!
Andrew from Frankston, Australia: Hey Michael,
What other Air Jordan's will be re-released, just so I know what I can add to my
collection?
Michael: For this year, For the
remainder of 2001, we're introducing the following Retro models: Air Jordan
Retro XI will come out in a variety of colors and styles, as will Air Jordan
Retro III, and the Air Jordan Retro I. Watch for them at your local retailers.
We've had an overwhelming reception to the retro shoes, so I hope to continue to
release the popular shoes in a variety of colors and styles over
2001.
Carlik Washington from Jersey City, NJ: Michael, since
you've retired, do you get to spend more time at home and with your
kids?
Michael: Absolutely -- I have been
able to do some of the "carpooling" that I thought I'd do. My kids have very
busy schedules but I try to keep up with them as much as I can.
Terrance Lamb from Stanford, CA: Hi Michael,
Which team looks good to go all the way in the NCAA championship?
Michael: That's an easy one
Terrance -- look no further than my alma mater down in Chapel Hill -- University
of North Carolina -- to yet again dominate the NCAA tournament...Give me a
tougher question next time!!
